36 weeks!

Another week, another mile stone!  We've reached 36 weeks which awards us with the GOLD medal of Twin Pregnancy.  If the babies were born today, they would have really great odds of not only avoiding the NICU but also coming home with us!  We literally breathed a huge sign of relief this morning.

We've made great strides in the nursery.  We've put shelves and organized their books and added some of my favorite butterflies.  We're still picking out curtains and just need to make their beds.  surreal!!!

We've also had another growth scan this week.  We found out that Baby Boy weighs about 5 lbs 11 oz and Baby Girl is about 6lbs 3 oz.  I have about 12 lbs of baby in me!  That explains why I feel so much pressure!

This is our son giving us the stink face... per usual!

and this is our daughter, sweet angel, always gives us such nice photos.  She's the prettiest little baby.  I literally cried when I saw this image.

35 weeks!

Still pregnant and feeling great!  Probably because we're getting so much done in the nursery. It's really starting to come together!

We had another scan this week and got some really unique pictures. Baby Girl is beech and with her feet are at her head!  So basically she's in boat pose!  Our little yogi!

And our son, who usually doesn't give us any good pictures, gave us this!!!!

A wide open eye!!!! Our sonographer gasped and said she had never seen that before. Figures.  Lol

34 weeks!

We got the silver medal of twin pregnancy!  And the babies are about 5lbs already!  If they were born today, they wouldn't have to spend too much time in the NICU. It would be mainly to gain weight and learn how to feed. Regardless, we'd prefer them to stay in for a while longer :)

Celebrating Chanukah!

We packed up the pack including my mom and headed out to Scott's Parent's house to celebrate Chanukah. Sonya and Peter live in Woodmere, NY and are still in the same house that Scott grew up in. I love the feeling of familiarity that radiates through the walls. Scott's sister Marla and her husband Brian and their kids, Jake, Aidan (identical twins!) and Ethan also joined us.

(Ethan was super annoyed with me in this photo because I separated him and Scott. It's written all over his face!  But I had the camera on a timer and need an easy spot to scoot into!)

We're really lucky. We love each other parents and our parents love each other! It makes life so much easier since we all get along.

The boys are also getting really excited that the babies will be here so soon. It also helps that they can feel the babies moving in my belly. I loved interacting with them all!

Family Day!

My sister and her husband Alex had an 8-hour layover in New York on their way to Dublin for New Years. We took advantage of their time and headed to see some of the holiday landmarks around the city.

My mom was also able to join us. It was so nice to have all the girls together that day.

Next year the holidays will be even more fun!

Sirius reporting for Babysitting Duty

We've started to get the nursery ready for the babies. And Sirius and Archie have been really interested in helping. I'm so excited to see how they'll welcome the babies into the pack

33 weeks!

Holy Baby Bump Batman!  This thing is getting bigger and bigger. Making sleeping harder and harder. I'm getting about 4-6 hours of sleep a night and still waking up once or twice to pee. I'm really looking forward to NOT being pregnant anymore just so I can lay on my stomach and not struggle to sit up or turn side!
